RMS Builders Inc. is now working on an expansion and renovation at the Ford Dealership in Barrhead, AB. Originally built in 1971, this project includes renovating the existing shop and building, an addition of roughly 6,000 square feet for the Ford Showroom, and demolition of another building on site. Meridian Valve Warehouse, Grande Prairie is a 30,000 s.f. built to suit warehouse/office project for a subsidiary of Wolseley International. The pre-engineered structure was modified to accommodate Meridian Valve's specialty requirements for servicing the oilfield and forestry industries.

Margaret Edgson Manor is a 70 unit assisted living project in Grande Prairie , Alberta . We were pleased to be involved as Project Managers for this project from its initial inception in 2001. We were able to assist the Grande Prairie Residential Society in obtaining grant money under the Canada-Alberta Affordable Housing Program.
Funding was obtained in January, 2004 for this 70 unit, four storey wood-frame housing complex. As Project Managers, we made the initial funding application presentation to Federal, Provincial and Municipal Governments and worked with the Grande Prairie Residential Society through the design/approval process.More information
Emerald Manor and Emerald Manor II are both four storey apartment buildings constructed in Grande Prairie, AB. We acted as Construction Managers for our sister company, RMS Properties Inc. Emerald Manor has 47 two bedroom units and was completed in 2003. Emerald Manor II also has 47 two bedroom units and was completed in 2004 as an adult only rental apartment.
Jim Pattison Developments Ltd. (Save On Foods) approached RMS Builders. Inc. and asked us to construct this 2,700 sq.ft. convenience store & carwash within their Pilot Sound project. RMS Builders Inc. was very instrumental in having the building redesigned in order to meet the Owners budget.
As well as being a convenience store, this building also houses a fast food restaurant plus there is a seperate non-touch drive through carwash building. Located very conveniently just South of Anthony Henday Drive & West of Manning Drive beside the Hollick-Kenyon Landing shopping centre which features a Shoppers Drug Mart, Tim Hortons, TD Bank, Subway, Royal Bank, Second Cup along with many other retailers & banks. 100 Street Plaza is a retail building in Grande Prairie, AB which was transformed into a retail centre from its previous use as an automotive garage and donut shop.
Through the repurposing of an existing building located off of Roper Road and 50th Street, RMS Builders Inc. has recently completed the renovation of a 14,000 sq ft space for this national tenant. The scope of this project extended from demolition, extensive interior and exterior finishing, site work, and an addition of a 3,800 sq ft canopy area. This was another successful construction management project completed in February 2015.
In order to help the Owner through this difficult time, RMS accepted the challenge of taking over the Construction Management of this industrial warehouse project when it was intentionally abandoned by the original Contractor at the framing stage.
However before RMS could move forward with any construction we needed to assist the Owner by providing final design coordination along with municipal & utility company approvals, which had not been obtained by the original Contractor. One of the more challenging projects from a construction standpoint was the development of Aberdeen Village Shopping Centre in Kamloops, British Columbia. This project included the development of 104,000 square feet of retail, including Chapters, Staples, Petcetera, Mark's Work Wearhouse and numerous other national retailers.
The development of this project was constructed on a former rock outcrop and presented numerous engineering challenges to ensure the development of stable building foundations.More information

Gateway Power Centre located in Grande Prairie, Alberta is a 50 million dollar multi-use land development project. Royal Management Services acted as Project Managers on behalf of Price Waterhouse Coopers. Responsibilities included extensive planning of the project and supervising all consultants and contractors and negotiations with the municipal government, for a timely completion of the 160 acre development.
The development of this Project, over a five year period, saw the rural land transformed into the city's largest power centre with over 500,000 square feet of retail plus a hotel, casino and hundreds of residential rental units. The development includes such retailers as Walmart, Staples, Totem, Future Shop, London Drugs, Cineplex and numerous restaurants.More information
In 2002 we were asked to assist the land owner of the O'Brien Lake quarter section to negotiate with the City of Grande Prairie the possibility of providing municipal services to this property. The 160 acre parcel, which contained a 50 acre lake, was previously declined service tie-ins by the City due to a shortage of capacity in the municipal system.
Since 1996 we have been involved in land development in Grande Prairie and have developed an excellent rapport with the City. We proposed to the City an alternate service tie-in method and the City accepted the innovative design and allowed the property to be developed. As a result of our involvement, the landowner was able to secure a sale of the lands at 40% more than previous offers received.More information
